UPDATE

Yetter Manufacturing is proud to announce that the process of acquiring Martin Industries is complete.

As previously shared, this acquisition brings together two longstanding agricultural equipment companies that share a common mission: to provide solutions that support farmers in improving operational efficiency and profitability.

Leaders from each company recently spoke with Farm Equipment magazine to talk about what the new landscape will look like for their respective brands.

“We think it's going to be a great venture to join forces and have Yetter as a new owner,” said Tom Patterson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Martin-Till.

“The ultimate goal is, at the end of the day, to provide the best product to our customers,” agreed Derek Allensworth, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Yetter.

Patterson and Allensworth noted that the strengths of each company are complementary and that a mutual spirit of cooperation will allow each brand access to the other’s resources and best practices, especially in the areas of engineering, purchasing sources, and backroom operations.

Allensworth stated that Martin’s brand and manufacturing—much like those of another Yetter-owned company, AMCO Manufacturing—will remain entirely self-managed. Steve Martin, son of Martin founder Howard Martin, will continue to play a pivotal role, increasing his focus on new product innovation.

“We're going to continue to have new, innovative products come on the market as we see it’s needed for no-till. I think that's going to be a big plus for the no-till farming community, and they’re going to be able to get them from either one of us,” said Patterson.

Aligned by Synergistic Histories

Both companies have deep roots in business, family, and agricultural innovation. “If you hit the rewind button and backtrack back to 1989, the original cleaner wheel was invented by Howard Martin. So that wheel started both these companies in a sense,” pointed out Allensworth.

Over its nearly 100-year history, Yetter has helped address farmers’ need for attachments to move residue and prepare the soil for optimal seed placement. Today, whether it’s row cleaners and closing wheels, or toolbars and stalk rollers, the Yetter name has become synonymous with solutions that maximize efficiency and productivity in the field.

Similarly, Martin Industries was founded on the principle that residue management is critical to successful planting. Their pioneering row cleaner technology and commitment to quality have made them a trusted name among growers.
