Introduced in 2016 and called “Old Faithful” by some members of the Yetter sales team, our poly Twister is available as a full assembly or as a ring-only option for replacing the factory closing wheels on your planter.
The newest addition to the Twister family, this cast option is also available as a full assembly or a ring-only option. This unit is for growers who are looking for the additional weight and material of a cast option, but don’t want the weight of a full cast option.
The Twister full cast assembly is our heaviest option. It’s best for growers who need a long wear life. The extra weight keeps the unit from bouncing, making it an ideal option for high planting speeds.
Designed specifically for shallow-planted crops, the short Twister is available as a full assembly or a ring-only option.
Whichever Twister you choose, you can be confident it will get the job done: closing up the seed furrow during planting. Twisters are designed to consistently break up sidewalls, merge soil, and firm it around the seed, setting up the perfect environment for optimal germination and uniform emergence. The Twister is a Beck’s PFR Proven product, which means it has provided a positive yield increase during three or more years of testing. These unbiased, farmer-focused studies are conducted in the Midwest and compare the Twister with other closing wheels on the market.
In the most recent research published by Beck’s in 2023, the Twister Poly Ring Closing Wheel averaged a 5.1 bushels per acre increase in corn yields over standard solid rubber closing wheels. The Twister outperformed competitor products by 1.3–2.4 bushels per acre. For soybeans, the Twister averaged a 2.5 bushels per acre increase over standard rubber wheels and outperformed competitors by 1.2–2.5 bushels per acre.
