“I first started using Yetter Stalk Devastators in 2017 on a John Deere 8-row corn head. Using them, we have been able to no-till into cornstalks and have no more tire damage from Bt variety stalks. The Devastators work so well that I will not go to shell corn without them.”
rn"The Yetter Residue Manager is built with quality construction. It really complements your planter's performance in your strip-till system. It provides a wide range of adjustments, and it is durable. I am very pleased with the results."rn
Poor seed germination may be caused by seed being too close to like residue (ex. corn following corn), which can result in alleopathic poisoning. Use a residue clearing device which moves residue instead of incorporating it into the soil to improve germination.
As a general starting point, we recommend spacing your Twister Closing Wheels at 1-1/4". Then evaluate your field conditions, soil type, and tillage practices—you may want to adjust the spacing to ensure you are properly breaking through the sidewall and creating optimal seed-to-soil contact.
"I've had great success with my Yetter Coulter cart, on which I mount 2995 series dry fertilizer coulters in front of my 12-tow semi-mounted planter. I mounted an air delivery system so I can auger fertilizer into one hopper rather than four boxes. I really like the convenience of one hopper... me."
