6200 Twister Conversion Kit for Case IH

Overview

Mount Twister Poly Closing Wheels to Case IH 1200 or 2000 Series planters with the 6200 Twister Conversion Kit. The 6200 Twister Poly Closing Wheel achieves seed furrow closure and breaks up sidewall compaction. A rounded center-ring design maintains the depth of the twisted spikes and makes it effective in a wide range of soil conditions. The Twister Poly Closing Wheel works in minimum till, conventional, strip-till, vertical tillage, and no-till.

Features:

• Bracket mounts Twister wheels to Case IH 1200 or 2000 Series planters (Twister wheels available as full wheel assembly or as ring-only insert to replace factory wheels)
• Closes the disc opening in both wet and ideal conditions and improves closing of furrow
• Enhances seed-to-soil contact and helps prevent yield-robbing air pockets
• Eliminates potential for sidewall compaction
• Features twisted poly spikes and rounded center
• Ring design maintains wheel depth
• Poly wheels made with ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) plastic material
• 16 teeth per wheel
• Left and right directional wheels can be turned around on each side to extend life of the wheel

In a Beck's study, after-market closing wheels outperformed standard solid rubber planter closing wheels in both corn and soybean planting. Yetter Twister Poly Closing Wheels were part of this study.

In this study, Beck's observed that utilizing Yetter Twister Poly Closing Wheels on the John Deere ExactEmerge™ planter provided an emergence advantage that was a large part of this study's results. The John Deere planter with Twisters outperformed in most areas of the study, including 24-hour emergence, singulation, and yield.
