Quality Control Technician

Open position: Quality Control Technician


Responsibilities include:

  • PPAP review for compliance ability
  • PPAP preparation and submittal to customers
  • Performs final quality inspection of finished product
  • Conducts process and product sample audits for compliance to specifications
  • Documents non-conforming products and executes quality protocol
  • Provides quality support to production operations with problem solving, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, promotion and initiation of continuous improvement ideas, and identifying non-compliant products and materials
  • Generates Control Plans, PFMEAs, and process instructions
  • Conducts statistical analysis and other support documentation as needed
  • Performs dimensional inspections using CMM and other precision inspection tools
  • Conducts supplier quality audits and interacts with customers as needed to resolve complex quality issues
  • Conducts quality audit trend analysis in order to prioritize proactive measures to improve product quality


Successful candidates will have the following qualifications/skills:

  • Education – High School Diploma or equivalent. Quality certification preferred
  • Experience – 1 years in quality field, prior experience with a Faro Arm (CMM) or equivalent, a plus. . 
  • Familiar with APQP methods
  • Fluent in Excel and data analysis
  • SPC experience/training preferred
  • Above average communication skills, both verbal and written, to professionally communicate with customers, suppliers, and inter-departmentally
  • Familiar with 6 Sigma practices and lean manufacturing
  • Basic skills in metrology using standard hand measurement tools and experience with CMM inspections
  • Basic blue print reading abilities and basic knowledge of GD & T preferred


Physical Demand

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and sit intermittently throughout the shift
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds intermittently
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required
