New Rebel From Yetter Provides Customization Without Compromise

Growers who strip-till need the ability to adapt their practices for the fall or spring—the best approach depends on what weather Mother Nature delivers after harvest. That’s why Yetter Farm Equipment is excited to release the 9000 Rebel. It’s designed to interchangeably operate with either a coulter attachment or a knife configuration, giving growers a dual-season strip-tillage solution. 

“If adapting to weather and shifting management practices requires two machines or excess time, it’s a barrier for growers,” said Yetter Strip-Till Product Director Andy Thompson.  “The Rebel is designed with the flexibility to create new strips in the fall or spring and also freshen and maintain existing strips in either season.” 

The Rebel’s conversion system has a quick-change design that makes it easy to transition from a strip coulter to a knife. 

• It features a modular row unit design that allows quick and easy conversion between knife and strip coulter configurations. 

• Independent depth adjustments control both the knife and coulter operating depths.  

• Gauge wheels control depth with settings from 1 1/2″ to 4″ inches deep with strip coulters and 5″ to 8″ deep with the knife.  

• Growers can make real-time adjustments to critical strip-building components with the cab-controlled pneumatic row cleaners, berm builders, rolling baskets, and downforce. 

• Hydraulic auto-reset for the knife automatically disengages over obstacles.  

• The row unit can be used for dry, liquid, or anhydrous fertilizer application, depending on knife configuration, enabling customized nutrient management within the strip-till operation. 

“We’re seeing the evolution of strip-till in terms of operating speed and the integration of fertilizer,” said Thompson. “The Rebel is a way for strip-tillers to break free from one-size-fits-all strip-till. It empowers you to quickly adapt when your management strategy demands it.”
