Yetter Farm Equipment has expanded its lineup of residue management tools with the launch of two new toolbar-mounted row cleaners engineered specifically for Case IH fertilizer applicators and toolbars: the 2966-080 Shank Mount Row Cleaner and the 2966-094 Coulter Mount Row Cleaner Bracket.
Showcased at both the National Strip-Tillage Conference and the Farm Progress Show, these row cleaners install seamlessly on popular Case IH fertilizer application equipment used by farmers and custom applicators.
“With these row cleaners on board, Case IH applicators can be turned into a machine that effectively clears residue while applying nutrients,” explained Andy Thompson, Yetter Territory/AOR Manager. “There’s a misconception out there that getting into strip-till requires an elaborate, expensive new setup. These units are a simple, fast, and reliable solution.”
The 2966-080 Shank Mount Row Cleaner pairs with high-clearance shanks from Case IH. Raise and lower functions make it convenient to switch to toolbar-only operation in fields where the row cleaners may not be needed. Featuring parallel linkage and an air cylinder, these row cleaners allow operators to adjust up and down pressure from the cab, which helps maintain row cleaner performance through the field.
“Parallel linkage on the row cleaner is going to allow for consistent travel up and down. There's no need to ever change the angle of those wheels,” explained Thompson at the 2025 National Strip-Tillage Conference.
Thompson continued, “The uniqueness here is the air cylinder. It gives the operator the ability to adjust from the cab the performance of the row cleaner. So through pneumatics, with that cylinder we actually have two different regulators. One presses up and one presses down inside that cylinder.”
The 2966-094 Coulter Mount Row Cleaner Bracket option is compatible with Case IH/DMI coulters and Yetter Xtreme Cutting Coulters. In this case, the row cleaner is mounted to the bracket stem, which positions the row cleaner in front of the coulter. Operators who want cab control for the 2966-094 can add the Yetter Air Assist Cylinder option.

“With the ability to control downforce, moving residue off the strip is more effective. With up and down controls, we have also given operators—to some extent—the ability to manage row cleaner rebound,” said Thompson. “This level of control across all the rows at once means residue management is much more effective, and then so is nutrient placement.”
