Equipped with either 1” x 12” rubber tires or with
spike closing wheels, this attachment ideally completes the
planting process. The 6200 Series V-closing wheels are angled
towards the row at the bottom, so soil is gently firmed around
the seed, while leaving loose soil directly above the seed.
This results in ideal seed-to-soil contact, the foundation
for fast, even emergence. Yield robbing air pockets and emergence
inhibiting soil crusting are prevented. Uniformity in emergence
is a must. Tests prove erratic emergence greatly impacts yield
potential. No amount of fertilizer can be applied to reverse
the effects of inconsistent emergence, so closing the seed
trench properly is one of the most crucial elements of planting.
Spring tension is easily adjusted to any of the 5 tension
settings with a quick adjust “T” handle. Cam
pivot bushings speed centering the closing wheels on the
seed trench. Rubber or spike closing wheels can be assembled
to operate parallel or in a staggered position. Also compatible
with in furrow application of granular insecticides.

production agriculture every opportunity for yield increase
must come with a quick return on investment.
On a per row basis payback for the V-close wheel requires
