Mounted to the faceplate of the planter unit by a common mounting bracket, both the Coulter and Residue Manager can be adjusted for depth of operation independent of each other. This feature permits the coulter and Residue Manager to be operated as a combination or as a single operation by simply removing either the coulter or Residue Manager. It is a known fact that coulter tillage ahead of seed placement increases yield potential through improved emergence. So with the Cut-n-Move^TM combination, in addition to the benefit of coulter tillage, a second gain is made by moving residue and clearing a path for faster warm up of the row. Both the coulter and Residue Manager use the same field proven cast iron hub that combines a greasable heavy-duty double row ball bearing with dual seals for extended life. Bolt on hubcaps stay in place and keep dirt out.

Each Residue Manager wheel is cut using a state of the art laser then heat treated for greater durability. With 16 fingers Residue Manager wheels make sure residue doesn’t slip by. A selection of 13 or 25 wave blades is available for the coulter. To ensure adequate down force for proper operation of the Cut-n-Move^TM combination, we recommend the planter unit be equipped with adjustable spring or pneumatic down force.
