All new Cut-n-FeedTM Coulter Combination combines
the benefits of residue cutting coulter tillage and fertilizing
for energized
seed emergence. Both coulters work off a bracket mounted to
the faceplate of the planter unit, so depth gauging is consistent
relative to seed depth. Each coulter has independent adjustment
for depth of operation. This feature is ideal when there is
a need to apply fertilizer at a different depth than the seed.
Pay back for this product comes in many forms. The residue-cutting
coulter opens the seed trench ahead of the double disc opener
tilling soil for ideal soil to seed contact plus, provides
loose
soil to close the seed trench. Both of which are crucial elements
for uniform emergence. Research continues to show that the
more
uniformly corn emerges, the more equally plants compete for
resources and the higher their ultimate yield. Maximum
yields require high performance fertilizer placement. The
fertilizer coulter injects a band of fertilizer in close proximity
to the seed for optimum yield response. The Cut-n-FeedTM coulter
combination helps set the stage to squeeze out every extra
bushel of yield potential. This is the management approach
required to stay profitable in today’s production agriculture.
Coulter
blade selection can be based on the blade which best fits
your farming operation. The Cut-n-FeedTM can be used in conjunction
with a TitanTM Floating Residue Manager if residue removal
is a requirement. Backed with over 73 years of manufacturing
know how each Cut-n-FeedTM coulter combination utilizes components
field proven all over North America.
