The
intelligent design of the bolt-on axle also
adds 7 1/8 inches of extra ground clearance
to the All Steer Fertilizer Cart. “The
spindle bolts to the bottom of the axle,
as opposed to inside the axle tube. This
can certainly be a benefit in side dress
applications, which are done when plants
are taller,” said Andy Thompson, Territory
Manager for Yetter Manufacturing Company.
The
Yetter bolt-on axle is comprised of three
sections: the main axle assembly and two
outer sections that include the hub-spindle
assembly, which bolt on to the main axle.
The removable outer hub assembly allows faster
access to the axle for servicing.
The bolt-on axle is built to last with grade
5 bolts that secure the axle stub to the
axle. Steel flanges are center cut to slide
over the axle tubes. Attaching flanges are
welded solid to the axle tubes. For extra
strength and durability, the bolt in hub
spindle slides into reinforced mounting.
Other added features of the bolt-on axle
include customizable steel components to
match the load-carrying requirement for each
axle, and optional electronic scales.

The bolt-on axle enhances the performance
of the Yetter Manufacturing All Steer High
Capacity Cart, combining high capacity with
high clearance. The All Steer features a
unique tire-tracking feature—the rear
tires follow the front tires at all times,
resulting in less compaction and fewer downed
crops. All Steer carts are a multi-use tool,
well suited for applying starter or pre-plant
fertilizer as well as side-dressing herbicides
and insecticides. Tank capacities of up to
2,000 gallons stretch out the time between
refills, helping to eliminate down time.
