The
Residue Manager for the 60 or 90 Series Opener
mounts directly to the seed opener cast arm
and clears residue from in
front of the opener blade for improved performance of the seed disc opener. It
also places residue just to the side of the row
rather than tossing it into adjoining rows, which reduces the chance of hairpinning
in the seed trench. The residue-free soil above
the seed trench warms up more quickly for faster seed emergence.
Like the original, the Residue Manager
for the 60 or 90 Series Opener is constructed
of the highest quality materials and built
tough to endure for many years to come. Seals
protect double rows of heavy-duty greasable
bearings, and the bolt-on hubcaps
stay in place and keep dirt out. The Residue
Manager also features bearing shields that
stop residue and stubble from wrapping
around bearings in tough direct-seeding operations.
The rugged heavy-duty pivot allows the wheel
to float over the soil surface.
