What Makes Yetter the Industry’s Best Rotary Hoe?
- Durable hoe wheels. The wheel’s curved tooth tips
go almost straight down and come out at an angle to break up the soil. Because
of the root systems of crops, the wheels rip out weeds while leaving the
crop untouched. The 21” diameter wheels are riveted for strength and
turn on sealed Gothic arch bearings.
- Exclusive cast wheel arms. Each wheel is mounted to its
own cast arm. Each patented arm is independently spring-cushioned to follow
the contour of the soil while protecting its wheel from rocks and other obstructions.
With an arm designed for speed, you can cover more acres per day.

Dry out wet soil; rip out weeds; aerate the soil; incorporate chemicals and
seed—these important tasks need to be done with speed and efficiency.
And the right tool for each of these jobs is the rotary hoe. At Yetter, we
build ours for long life and reliable, low-maintenance operation year after
year. We offer a wide selection of models ranging from 15’ to 63’.
- Dry. Fluff up damp, matted residue fast. Yields rise
when you dry out the residue and soil surface before planting.
- Rip. Fed up with uncertain chemicals? You’ll cut
chemical costs and build healthier soils when you use a rotary hoe to rip
those weeds out by their roots.
- Aerate. Bust the crust. Rotary hoes encourage plant emergence
and introduce the right mixture of air and moisture under the surface for
better root and plant development.
- Incorporate. Rotary hoes send herbicides to the root zone
to kill more weeds. You can also incorporate broadcast wheat and other small
seeds in one fast pass.

“I have to live in this community and I would prefer to have my neighbors know I am doing everything possible to control odor,” says Luke Mannetter. The Yetter Avenger incorporates a large 25” diameter coulter blade that operates at a slight angle to the direction of travel to open a very narrow slot for manure injection. Concave sealing discs are used to completely seal off the manure, trapping odor and helping to reduce the chance of run off. Mannetter goes on to say “by injection and sealing off the manure, I don’t lose any nitrogen content; plus I get the added benefit of being a good neighbor.”
