Quality Control Technician


Responsibilities include:


  • Performs final quality inspection of finished product 
  • Conducts process and product sample audits for compliance to specifications
  • Documents non-conforming products and executes quality protocol
  • Provides quality support to production operations with problem solving, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, promotion and initiation of continuous improvement ideas, and identifying non-compliant products and materials
  • Generates Control Plans, PFMEAs, and process instructions
  • Conducts statistical analysis and other support documentation as needed
  • Performs dimensional inspections using CMM and other precision inspection tools
  • Processes supplier PPAPs to ensure all quality requirements have been met prior to release
  • Conducts supplier quality audits and interacts with customers as needed to resolve complex quality issues
  • Conducts quality audit trend analysis in order to prioritize proactive measures to improve product quality


Successful candidate will have the following qualifications/skills:


  • Education – High School Diploma or equivalent.  Addition quality certification or training a plus.
  • Experience – 1 + years in quality field, prior experience with a Faro Arm (CMM) or equivalent, a plus.  . 
  • Eager to learn and contribute to team driven continuous improvement objectives.
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometer, CMM and Rockwell Hardness tester
  • Must be proficient in reading blue prints, knowledge of GD&T a plus
  • Proficient in general math
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to use basic MS office programs and learn to use ERP system. 
  • Must be effective team member and able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all production departments
  • Familiar with basic quality system functions and tools
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize projects in a fast paced environment
  • Good attendance and able to work overtime as needed


Physical Demand


  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit intermittently throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds intermittently
  • Manual dexterity is need for this position

Job Summary:

The Field Service Specialist is responsible for all activities related to the service and technical support of all Yetter Manufacturing products including warranty administration, product update programs, dealer and customer adjustments and maintenance.  Maintains and develops profitable dealer and customer relationships through technical assistance as well as troubleshooting and resolving in-field product performance and reliability issues.   



Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Mechanics, Agricultural Engineering or closely related technical field

Experience: Two (2) years’ experience with agricultural equipment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) for interaction with customers and team members including the ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, customers and dealers.
  • A constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows, Windows applications and ERP system.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to changing situations or customer and dealer needs and requests.



Advises dealers and customers on product application, maintenance and adjustments and responds to performance and reliability issues.

Provides technical support to dealers and customers for all products.

Responsible for new equipment warranty and update programs.

Works in the field to troubleshoot, diagnose and document service issues and train dealer personnel.

Remains current with product technology to ensure ongoing ability to troubleshoot and repair various products and to instruct others.

Reviews, analyzes, and processes dealer failed part warranty requests.

Creates and presents service training programs and supporting training aids and materials.
