Quality Control Technician

Open position: quality control technician



  • Performs final quality inspection of finished product
  • Conducts process and product sample audits for compliance to specifications
  • Documents non-conforming products and executes quality protocol
  • Provides quality support to production operations with problem solving, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, promotion and initiation of continuous improvement ideas, and identifying non-compliant products and materials
  • Generates control plans, PFMEAs, and process instructions
  • Conducts statistical analyses and other support documentation as needed
  • Performs dimensional inspections using CMM and other precision inspection tools
  • Processes supplier PPAPs to ensure all quality requirements have been met prior to release
  • Conducts supplier quality audits and interacts with customers as needed to resolve complex quality issues
  • Conducts quality audit trend analysis in order to prioritize proactive measures to improve product quality


 Required skills

  • Eager to learn and contribute to team-driven continuous improvement objectives
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometer, CMM, and Rockwell Hardness tester
  • Must be proficient in reading blueprints, knowledge of GD&T a plus
  • Proficient in general math
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to use basic Microsoft office programs
  • Must learn to use ERP system
  • Must be effective team member and able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all production departments
  • Familiar with basic quality system functions and tools
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attendance and able to work overtime as needed


Physical requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit intermittently throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds intermittently
  • Manual dexterity is needed for this position



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional quality certification or training a plus
  • One or more years in quality field and prior experience with a Faro Arm (CMM) or equivalent also a plus
