| The all-new line up of TuffwearTM
Scrapers is made of wear resistant carbide for extreme conditions
and extended life over conventional style scrapers. Pressed
into a corrosion resistant stainless steel mounting bracket
the carbide insert makes contact with the double disc opener
blade to prevent soil build-up.
The composition of the TuffwearTM carbide insert is the secret
to long extended life. The manufacturing process is honed
to an elevated science when tungsten carbide and cobalt powders
are compressed then heat-treated to induce optimal strength.
The resulting carbide insert has the same high wear resistant
characteristics as carbide machine tool inserts used to machine
metal. TuffwearTM is a good value because it saves money by
providing extended life. Tungsten Carbide Manufacturer’s
claim, the extra ordinary properties of tungsten carbide
wears up to 100 times longer than steel in conditions including
abrasion, erosion and galling. Over the life of the scraper,
the cost per acre for each row would be pennies.
TuffwearTM scrapers along with mounting attachment arms are
available for adapting to 7000, 7100 John Deere and Kinze
planters, no grinding or modification is required for any
application. TuffwearTM scrapers are also available less mounting
attachment arms.
