Dearborn, MI--The Yetter Manufacturing Seed Box Partner was selected as one of 51 recipients of the 1999 Cygnus Publishing OEMmie Award. The awards went to companies honoring their products as Modern Innovations in Engineering.

An independent panel of judges, representing current industry representatives, university professionals and industry associations, chose the winners based on the following criteria:

  • The product is innovative, providing features or functions that set it apart from others available in the market.
  • The product impacts the market by either advancing the state of the art, providing a unique solution for the industry or increasing equipment performance.

The OEMmies, originally presented by OEM Off-Highway in 1993, were adopted by Farm Equipment and Equipment Today in 1995. Sister Cygnus publications, Yard & Garden and PRO, have since joined the fold to award outstanding innovations in those markets.

Representatives of the companies receiving awards joined publishers and editors of the magazines at the Henry Ford Museum for an awards presentation and a tour of historical engineering innovations.

The OEMmie award, an engraved globe suspended in a lucite spire, has become an honored and sought-after symbol of excellence in the off-highway and associated industries. There is no predetermined number of winners; the presentations are made to products that best meet the OEMmie criteria.
